About This Spot

Stepping into Narumi Sushi feels like entering a warm, unhurried corner of Rancho Cordova where the quiet rhythm of Japanese dining meets the casual comfort of a neighborhood favorite. The atmosphere strikes a delicate balance—relaxed enough for lingering conversations, yet lively enough to sense the energy of fresh dishes being crafted with care. This is not just a place to eat, but a spot where the flow of service and the attentive, friendly staff create a subtle connection, inviting guests to settle in and find their own moment of enjoyment.

At its heart, Narumi Sushi offers an experience shaped by the freshness and precision typical of thoughtful Japanese cooking, but with a welcoming approach that puts variety and choice front and center. Whether savoring a delicately layered sushi roll or sharing a bowl of comforting seafood udon, the meal here unfolds like a quiet discovery. The generous all-you-can-eat options encourage relaxed exploration, tempting diners to sample just one more creation, whether it’s a tender slice of sashimi or a playfully composed specialty roll that surprises with unexpected twists of flavor.

The dining pace here allows for both connection and indulgence—waiting moments between courses often amplify anticipation rather than discomfort, letting the quality of each bite speak louder than the buzz around the room. Service does its best to be unobtrusive yet present, with staff who guide guests through the menu and check in just enough to make everyone feel cared for without rush.

More than just a sushi restaurant, Narumi's blend of Japanese culinary tradition with approachable buffet-style dining and a thoughtfully curated wine selection invites both newcomers and long-time fans to relax, explore, and share a meal that feels genuine. It’s a place where the flavors of fresh fish and carefully prepared dishes encourage guests to pause, savor, and leave with the satisfaction that comes from something truly enjoyed.

My husband and I had our eye on this place for a while. We used to go to a sushi spot in Roseville that we really liked, but it was a bit too far, so we finally decided to give this place a try and we’re so glad we did. The service was friendly overall. [I'll say service was 4.5 ] We’ve visited twice so far. Both time, it took a little while for someone to come take our order when we were first seated, but once the initial order was placed, everything moved very smoothly and quickly. After that, there were no delays, and the food came out promptly. The sushi and sashimi were very fresh, and the rolls were great. The Spicy Ninja and Hamachi Lava were especially delicious! [the wasabi sauce was so yummy!] This place will definitely be our new favorite sushi spot

Some of the freshest fish I've had recently. Really good quality of fish and a pretty extensive AYCE menu. Servers seemed a bit understaffed and couldn't come back to retake our order as fast as we would want so it made the 3 item order at a time rule annoying. But overall very positive experience. Staff was very friendly and trying to be quick.

Narumi Sushi was surprisingly tasty, pretty fresh, nice rice to topping ratio, toasty hot fried ingredients and quick service. The waiter came back several times to ask if we wanted anything else - which we did. Unfortunately I was so busy eating and tasting, I forgot to take photos of everything we ate.... We ordered miso soup, I-80 roll (very good), tonkatsu, smoked salmon nigiri (awesome), ebi Nigiri, tobiko Nigiri (I didn't like this one - artificial taste), king Kong roll (I didn't like this one - cashew powdered, yucky white sauce), seaweed salad, several hand rolls. We got our monies worth - just not many photos....

My husband and I just love Japanese food, when we found this place ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI we weren't sure how it would be. And it was the fish just has a fresh and delicious flavor, so many options, everything tastes delicious, the service really good. If you're driving by Sacramento and highly recommend stopping there and just enjoy it, you will have a great time. They have a UBE ice cream and it was a bomb .. I can't wait to go back to this place!!

I was flabbergasted by how high the quality of fish here was. It is significantly better than a lot of other AYCE and non AYCE sushi restaurants I've been to in the greater Sacramento area. The hamachi and albacore especially were top tier. I would probably just get my money's worth on sashimi and the "fish salads". I also love that you can tell them how many pieces of sashimi you want instead of it being a set amount so that it's easier for you to try all the different options. I've also never seen hamachi kama being served at AYCE, and it was small and slightly over cooked but overall still very good. However, if you're not a fan of super sweet dishes, I would skip out on kalbi, salmon skin handroll, agedashi tofu (idk why the sauce for this was sweet), and probably the teriyaki items (didn't try it but my guess is this one is extremely sweet too). We went on Monday night, and it was pretty empty so we had no wait time. The server was very kind and was neither rushing us or ignoring us at any point like how some AYCE places do. He was very attentive and got us napkin water without us saying anything. All of our orders came very quickly too. This was our first time coming here, so I can't speak to its consistency in quality but I am sincerely hoping that it is always this good. 10/10 will return.

Cool-looking building! Once you get inside, the all-you-can-eat sushi deal and the six rolls for $68 are both solid options. The food was great. Our server seemed a bit distracted, but it was a busy night. If I'm ever in the neighborhood again, I'll definitely be back!

Overall a great experience! The all you can eat is a good choice, tons of menu items to choose from. From appetizers, sashimi, rolls, specialty rolls to desert. I hadn't been in there since it was Samurai, and they have done inteterior remodeling, the separated booths are nice. Full bar and the cocktails we ordered were good, an Old Fashioned and a Long Island iced tea, both flavorful and didn't skimp on the alcohol. Service was friendly, but spotty but it was approaching the "busy hour" I would definitely return.
